This beautiful little scale sailplane is fully built and ready for radio install! Quite a little beauty and an amazingly good flier too!
I think this is an amazing accomplishment. The ASK-21 is a fully hollow molded miniature scale ASK-21 perfect for slope flying. It comes completely built and the surfaces are gel coated either white or yellow with trim colors. The canopy is gelcoated blue. Finish is what you usually see on F3J sailplanes in the $1000 range. The T-tail is fully removable and with the two-piece slide-on wings, the ASK-21 will fit in a very small box. It is the perfect thing for traveling. The wings slide onto the fuselage with a carbon fiber wingrod. The tips are curved downward similar to the full-sized and are just plain beautiful workmanship. The ailerons are cut out and use live hinges and wipers, as do the ruddervators. Servo bays are premolded into the wings; so basically the builder has to install radio gear. The fuselage has plenty of room for the radio gear and ballast. The Canopy is pre-fitted and the whole sailplane shows quality at work.
The finish is excellent and the hardware is included in the package. A wheel well is molded into the fuselage and for the finishing touch, we recommend installing a small wheel available at any hobby shop. This little guy looks beautiful both on the ground and in the air. Very nice to fly with a great disposition, the Mini ASK-21 is a joy to fly. Sturdy but light and strong, the Mini ASK-21 can take a fair amount of abuse. The handing is the best we have seen in a sailplane of this size and we are very impressed with the speed range. The Mini ASK-21 is capable of flying in light lift but will speed along with the 60" slope racers in stronger conditions.
The Mini ASK-21 could be easily converted to electric power, as there is plenty of room in the fuselage. We would recommend using a Speed 400 or 480 type motor direct or reduction drive.

I like this the best of any small-scale sailplane I have seen! The molding is first class and the design allows for very good flight characteristics. Might be fun to air tow behind a small electric airplane!
