This beautiful open class sailplane uses the Kevlar-reinforced fiberglass fuselage and
triple-taper wings of the Victory in an all-composite structure. Built in this manner,
sheeted with carbonfiber 80/20 cloth, and pre-painted with your choice of tip colors, the
Victory C’s wing is lightweight and VERY strong!
The Victory C’s all-composite construction features carbonfiber sheeted wings and
pre-painted Spyder foam/fiberglass high aspect ratio stabs. This airplane will blow away
the competition. It’s very strong and capable of VERY hard zoom launches. With its
specially designed triple-taper planform and airfoil, and yet surprisingly moderate
wingloading, the Victory C will outfloat, outlaunch and outpenetrate anything in its
class. Accurately built flying surfaces leave you very little to do to finish this
beautiful sailplane. ***New Improvements!*** Better, stronger spar structure based
on over two years of research, built in Kevlar hinges add to the perfromance and less work
for the builder! Never replace a hinge again!
Custom hardware found in no other sailplane of its type further enhances this
top-of-the-line sailplane. We have spared no expense to provide the Victory C with the
best possible hardware. All control horns are CNC cut G-15 fiberglass. The pushrods
(NSP’s exclusive LiteSteel rods from our buddy Jim Bonk) are hollow stainless steel
tubing inside a special polymer sheath. The business end of the pushrod is
fitted with a high quality Sullivan clevis brazed to the pushrod. Special EZ-Links
fittings are provided for the servo end. These control rods are accurate with virtually
zero slop and are not only strong, but half the weight of a solid steel pushrod. The wing
joiner system owes its strength to its all-carbonfiber construction. The wing joiner is a
½" x 20" carbonfiber rod, and although costly, has half the weight and twice
the strength of an aluminum wingrod.
We have carefully designed the Victory C to be a sailplane that in the performance
department is second to none. We have also made it a sweetheart to fly. The high aspect
ratio all-composite stabs and the large rudder give you complete control of your sailplane
even at the lowest speeds. Thermalling turns become very controllable, while landings are
predictable and slow. The Victory can be flown quite slow and you will still maintain
control for those flat efficient thermal turns. The planform has been enhanced to provide
smooth controlled approaches with no fall-off at stall speeds. As a competitor, you will
have a clear advantage in the landing circle. If you can’t win with the Victory C,
you need a lot more practice! Victory can be yours.
New! The Victory now comes with special built light technology wings! This reduces the
overall weighht of the sailplane without reducing strength. An added feature of this
construction is the built in Kevlar hinges! No more tape hinges again!
Sal Says:
To me this is the real thing! I’ve been flying the Victory in open class competition and doing very well. Since I started flying the Victory C in October 1995, I’ve made my duration nearly every time! The Victory launches high, works the smallest and lightest lift, and is very predictable to land. Enough said!
