Finally! A few years in the making, MM Glidertech's much-awaited RES Classed /
Nostalgia Style sport and competition sailplane is now available. This will give
sport and competition pilots the ability to build, trim, and practice with their
Marauder for the Spring contest season. The model was very well worth the wait.
Wood sailplane enthusiasts now have the available performance and handling of composite
models three times the price. RES Classed / Nostalgia Style modelers have a simple,
easy to build sailplane that will just plain win contests, yet retains all the fun
and familiarity that is expected of a traditional 3 channel polyhedral sailplane.
The Marauder is the newest in sailplanes from MM Glider Tech. This new "RES
Class" sport and competition sailplane offers top notch handing and
contest-winning performance without the high price tag of composites. The all-wood
Marauder was designed with several intelligent features for a competitive edge over other
designs. The high-aspect tail, lots of wing area and the proven E-195 airfoil maximize
both performance and handling. The non-cambered fuselage line provides racy looks and
lower drag at high speed. A massive 80 square inches of (split) spoiler area lands the
Marauder on target easily. Inexpensive standard size radio gear is used. The polyhedral
break and removable tip panels are at different locations, making the Marauder both
strong enough for high power launches and easier to build. Prototypes have already won key
competitions, besting the carbon/glass ships and causing loud cheers from wood
sailplane enthusiasts. The Marauder spans 115" and features accurately die-cut parts,
hardware and complete two full size plan sheets.

The Marauder is very easy to build and you can populate the sailplane with inexpensive
standard radio gear. You will need 3 servos (one each for the elevator, rudder and
spoilers). The spoiler servo is in the center wing section and works both sets of
spoilers. The spoilers on the Marauder, are top and bottom spoilers which means that there
is a spoiler on the the top surface and another spoiler directly below it on the bottom
surface. There are a set of these spoilers on either side of the fuselage. They are VERY
EFFECTIVE, making short field pinpoint landings a cinch!
The Marauder is a complete kit and comes with all materials and hardware needed (minus
covering, glue, and radio gear) to complete the kit. The wood and parts are very high
quality and the fit is also very good. A substantial manual is supplied along with two
sheets of full sized plans. The plans and manual are quite comprehensive and along with
the great parts fit, you should find the building to go very smoothly.
We suggest using the HS-225MG servos for the elevator and rudder and the HS-475HB for
the spoilers. This will be a good combination of good power, durability and reasonable
weight. Any standard (or smaller) receiver will work fine.
