The Accord 2200 is the newest and the largest of the Accord series aircraft and is undeniably the best too! The Accord 2200" has been designed to compete in European freestyle competition and is currently the choice in Austria, Czech Republic and Germany. This 2.2 meter aircraft is designed to do any aerobatic or 3D maneuver in the book! It can fly both fast and slow and with its large surfaces and low flying weight. The Accord 2200 can easily do extreme 3D maneuvers very well. The Accord 2200" is a larger sized aerobatic airplane. The airframe is built very light (only 38 ounces including landing gear, wheels and all hardware! Just add the radio and motor system weights!) and overall weight is very low. We recommend that the Accord 2200 be flown with one of our suggested motor systems for best performance. It is also designed to fly with a 10S Li-Poly battery of 3000-4500 mah capacity which will result in flight times of 8-15 minutes. The Accord 2200, like all the LN models, is built with the best choice of woods. It is carefully designed and then CNC cut (no laser burns on the aircraft) and then painstakingly assembled to give low overall weight, maximum strength and incredible performance.

All parts come completely pre-built and covered with SolarFilm. The wings are two piece and slide out the fuselage with a large diameter hollow aluminum wingrod along with two carbon fiber rods that act as incidence pins. The wing also has a special fiberglass set of fittings for holding the wings tight to the fuselage. The top of fuselage from the cowling to behind the canopy is fully removable and allows easy access to the battery packs and the radio equipment. The removable top is made with special fittings so it is very easy to secure and remove. The canopy is bubble style and is tinted for a very nice "aerobatic" look. The horizontal stabs and elevators are two piece and removable and are slide onto the fuselage with two hollow carbon fiber tail rods. Again with LN Models' attention to detail, special fiberglass fittings are supplied to quickly secure the tails onto the fuselage with a minimum of time, muss or fuss. Since the tails are two piece the tails was designed to accommodate one servo for each elevator. The horizontal stabs are made with a servo bay in each root to accommodate this servo so installation is very easy. The rudder is designed for one servo in the fuselage and is actuated with pull pull cables (supplied). Each wing has servo bay for the aileron servo. We suggest a servo with at least 90 oz of torque. (see our recommendations below). All moveable surfaces are very large and give immediate response to control inputs even at low speeds. The accord will hover and harrier very nicely and then transition to aerobatic speeds with a touch of the throttle. All hardware is supplied and all the control horns are specially machined fiberglass fittings of very high quality. The Accord 2200 is supplied with a painted fiberglass cowl, and fiberglass wheel pants to add to the finished looks of the model. LN Models as supplied a special adjustable motor mount for the Accord 2200. The motor mount will accommodate both inrunner and outrunner motors and is completely adjustable to fit the firewall and the cowling. LN models has put a lot of thought and design into the Accord 2200 and it shows in the quality of the model, the overall finish and hardware, and most of all in the fabulous performance of this large, light aircraft.

The Accord 2200 is the newest in the Accord family of airplanes designed and manufactured by LN Models. Like the Accord 2, and the Accord 47, the Accord 2200 is fully built and just needs only a little more assembly, radio and motor installation to finish. The airfoil is perfect for the Accord 2200 and results in extreme low speed handling along with the unusual ability to go immediately from slow speed flight to tearing up the skies. And you do not have to worry as the airframe is designed to take it! Surprisingly, given its size the landing speeds are quite slow and the Accord 2200 can be flown in a schoolyard! ...Yes, we do mean a schoolyard! Because the wingloading of 14 oz/sq ft is very low for an aircraft of this size, in the hands of an experienced pilot, it can hover, fly slow, and is well behaved enough to fly in a surprisingly small area. The special NACA airfoils are designed to be a combination of several attributes which include a moderate speed range so the Accord 2200 will land and fly fairly slow but it's also capable of picking up speed and doing a great job as a sport aerobatic aircraft - even in winds up to 20mph! Of course 3D and extreme aerobatics is where the Accord 2200 excels and Libor Nezbeda (Owner and designer for LN Models) has done an incredible job with the Accord 2200! The Accord 2200 with its midwing has all components on the datum line resulting in very neutral handling. Knife Edge flight is effortless! The Accord 2200 is vary large very maneuverable and with the motor systems we recommend has lots of performance! best of all the Accord was designed to have full 3D performance with only a 10S 3000-4500 mah Li-Poly battery pack. With an expected flying weight of 10-11 lbs., you can expect thrust at 15-17 lbs. for a 1.5 to1.7 to 1 thrust to weight ratio!

Recommended Motor Systems

HiMaxx 6332 Motor System-nobat This system fits nicely into the cowling of the Accord 2200 and makes use of the included motor mount. You can expect plenty of torque and power using a 10s battery pack. The system includes the Himaxx 6332 Brushless Outrunner Motor, the Phoenix HV-8v brushless sensorless High Voltage Speed control, a Potencia 3.5Amp High Voltage BEC, 18 x 12 APC E Prop, Prop adaptor. (spinner and battery not included). With a 10S 4000 mah Li-poly battery pack you can expect average flight times of 15 minutes with a thrust of 16 lbs! (100% throttle is 65 amps)

Neumotor 1521-1.5Y/6.7-1 Motor System-Nobat This system includes the incredible Neumotor 1521-1.5Y/6.7-1 Brushless planetary geared motor, with Phoenix 85HV High Voltage Brushless Sensorless Speed control, a Potencia 3.5Amp High Voltage BEC, 12 x 10 APC E Prop, Prop adaptor. (spinner and battery not included). With a 10S 4000 mah Li-poly battery pack you can expect average flight times of 18 minutes with a thrust of 18 lbs! (100% throttle is only 50 amps!) This system is by far the most powerful and efficient system to power the Accord 2200. If you go to 65 amps you can get up to 21 lbs of thrust on a 24 10 prop!

Sal Says:
This is one BIG INCREDIBLE airplane! Thank you Libor! Wow!
