Okay. You want a high performance sloper with the ability of the Shark but you just
don’t want to build. We have the answer for you. The Shark ARF is your answer for
quick access to deadly slope performance. The Shark 2 has all the attributes of the Shark
with the added ease of prebuilt parts and a fiberglass fuselage, greatly reducing your
building time. This high performance 60-inch slope racer shares the same basic planform as
the Shark. The wings are sheeted with a balsa wood and reinforced internally with
fiberglass and carbon fiber. They are then covered with opaque Oracover in white with red
bottoms. The tails are built from sheet balsa and sanded and also covered ready to use.
The elevator and ailerons are ready for hinging (use hinge tape) and the servo bays are
cut out in the wing ready for servo installation. The wings come two piece for shipping
and you will need to join the wings, glass the center section and cover with a strip of
covering material. All parts are supplied. The fuselage is prepainted fiberglass molded
and is very sleek. The fuselage comes with prepainted canopy in blue and the underwing
fairing is also molded in fiberglass.
You have the option of removable, bolt-on tails as well! This is easily done in just
one with just an hour of work. Great for traveling. So if you're ready to move up to the
fast pack…do it with a Shark 2. Moderate to heavy lift versatility with a slick,
silky smooth looking design.
One of the first things you notice about the Shark is its ability to fly very smoothly
and very fast. It will go exactly where you point it. Like to fly close to the hill? The
Shark provides rock-solid tracking. Aerobatics are a cinch with the Shark. Rolls are
precise and axial; inverted performance is very acceptable, but don’t forget - this
sailplane is a racer and will go fast. The large full span ailerons will give you a very
fast roll rate but can be also used as flapperons/spoilerons for glide path control and
camber for lighter lift conditions. The first thing you notice about the Shark is that it
has a balanced feel and will go wherever you tell it to. Very much like a racer that has
gone aerobatic. With a little wind and ballast, and the precision of the Shark, half pipes
(zooms) will make your heart skip a beat.
We suggest using the Electron 6 receiver by Hitec, the HS-85MG servos
are perfect for this sailplane and it only need three, one for the elevator and two for
the ailerons. It is also possible to modify the shark for flaps and ailerons if you so
choose. We also suggest a computer radio such as the Hitec Eclipse 7 or Airtronics RD-8000
for control of the flapperons and spoilerons for landing. For racing you will want a mix
of flapperons mixed to the elevator to increase your lift and speed coming out of those
pylon turns.

Sal: If you have a computer radio, give me a call for best setup. I can tell you how to
enhance your turning for racing, and maximize your inverted performance with a few simple
modifications to your setup.
