This is a cute little sailplane. Small of wingspan and light of weight, the Mini Floh
is capable of flying in the smallest area. Fly thermals from your front yard or in a small
park. Take it with you to fly on your lunch hour. The Mini Floh packs lots of fun in a
small package.
The Mini Floh comes 95% built and ready to fly. Just assemble the prebuilt parts and
install radio and you are ready to fly. Put in one evening's work and fly it the next day!
The fiberglass fuselage is prepainted white and the canopy black. The wings and V-tail are
fully built and covered and basically ready for assembly. The wing is one-piece with a
flat center section and triple dihedral, including the small upturned sculpted tips. All
hardware is included in the kit. We recommend using sub micro servos such as either CS-10BB, or the HS-50 Feather
from Hitec. The receiver should be very small, like the Hitec 555 or FMA
Extreme.
Handling is very fast and immediate and the Mini Floh will slow down nicely to thermal.
The airfoil and wing planform are forgiving, allowing the pilot to concentrate more on
thermaling and less on flying. Overall, very good performance for a small sailplane.
Sal Says:
Usually I don't like sailplanes this small, but the Mini Floh does rather well. Launches very high and will fly in light thermals. Great for exploring small inland slopes. I am sure you could slope soar a small building! The 39" wingspan is large enough to have a decent glide, so getting back from a downwind thermal is no problem.
